Make That Not The Last

Oh still and empty room
With companions
None but longing

The beauty you held
Aromas and feels
Still dissipating

Inhale and touch its last
With distance growing
And hearts as well

Though here I am
And there you are
He is with you always

And into His hands
I place you
Out of my own

Bless me He did
So unexpectedly
Through simple error

One last embrace
One last kiss
One last love's mention

Both mine and His
Though His prevails
And will keep you through all

Oh please, my God
My Creator, my heart's fulfiller
My sustainer, My provider

You are first
Now and always
But please if it be Your will

Make that not the last

Dear Adam,

I Cor. 1: 8-10

8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us
